Here is a photo I took of my Grandmother lit only by the light from an adjoining window. I love looking at her face, her hands and the patterns in what she is wearing. I had a chance to visit her in 09/2011 at the ripe age of 89.
Update: I had another opportunity to see my Oma in January 2013 with my mother and brother.
The following February our Oma passed away at the age of 90.
