Cloud 9

I love clouds and their many formations. No cloud scene is ever the same. The blue of the sky and the many variations of whites, grays that one sees. It's like a watercolor painting using only a few colors and combining them to get the variations in color. This photo was taken while standing on Mount Hoy while admiring the over powering sense of drama unfolding before me.

  1. Clouds when photographed like this, make you realize the vastness of the sky. Sometimes they seem to dwarf the scene below them. This was on the way to my grandma's houses and very near to where I grew up. I think I had left the area just before Mt. Hoy was completed tho.

  2. Yes - it was taken on top of Mt. Hoy - standing there you did experience the vastness of the sky - to the point of almost losing balance while the wind swirled around you.
